Friday Favorites - Mad for Plaid

Plaid. It's a fabric that is universally liked. You would never say it's controversial, or that people "either love it or hate it." That's saved for things like neon colors or zebra print. It's actually the opposite. Most people like it, and wear it, but don't give it much thought beyond that. And though I'm typical that way, I own a few plaid shirts and a scarf or two, at Christmas-time, I absolutely adore it!

There is something about a red Tartan plaid, whether it be in clothing or decor, that just screams Christmas to me. And though I did a very "neutral" Christmas in my own decor this year, it still has a special place in my heart this time of year. I can appreciate a cute, crisp Tartan plaid when I see it! So cheers! Here's to the holidays, drinking egg nog, dressing up for parties, twinkly lights, packages tied up with string, and plaid, in both clothing and holiday decor☺

In fashion.....

Seriously, could this be any cuter?!

One of my favorite pins ever! Love the plaid scarf against the camel coat.

LOVE this coat!!! I missed it at Zara last year and looked forever on Ebay, to no avail:((

Love the pants.

I'm seriously in love with this coat! Why am I such a coat person when I live in Southern California???!

Love these pants!
Perfect casual winter day outfit! And those red wellies!!

In Christmas decor....

Possibly the cutest porch scene ever! Perfection. Via Craftberry Bush.

Love the pop this plaid gives to this otherwise very neutral room. And how cute are those window shades?

Just lovely. Via Craftaholics Anonymous.

This is a tablescape I did recently using my plaid plates from Home Goods. The whole tablescape (with sources) can be seen here.

Again, just a touch of plaid in a neutral room is actually very sophisticated.

LOVE what she did with the greenery. So simple, but so effective! Via Driven by Decor.

  3. Thanks so much Shelley! I'm the opposite - I actually need/want more plaid scarves! I did buy the CUTEST plaid flats from J. Crew though and I cannot wait to wear them!
